Job Description

Primary Function of Position 
As an AI/ML Data Science Summer Intern you will assist in exploring and applying basic machine learning techniques to realworld business challenges including the deployment of Generative AI technologies. This role offers an opportunity to gain handson experience in the cuttingedge field of AI and ML contributing to the integration of Generative AI technologies in practical applications. The internship is designed to provide a platform for learning experimentation and contribution to ongoing projects under the guidance of experienced data scientists.

Essential Job Duties 

• Support data exploration and preprocessing activities.
• Participate in the development and implementation of basic machine learning models under supervision.
• Collaborate with team members to integrate machine learning models and Generative AI technologies into business applications.
• Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of deployed ML models.
• Document and present findings and progress in regular team meetings.

Qualifications :

Required Skills and Experience

• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Python programming and SQL.
• Strong desire to learn and grow in the field of data science and AI/ML.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

• University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degreeseeking academic program after the internship.
• Internship Work Period: Must be available to work fulltime (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 1012 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.

Required Education and Training 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science Data Science Engineering or a related field.

We provide marketcompetitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay (paid at an hourly rate) benefits and a housing allowance. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including relevant skills and experience for this internship degreeseeking academic program (PhD Masters Bachelors etc) year in school and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
