Job Description

The Lab Support Operator I plays a key role in supporting various stages of the manufacturing process. Responsibilities include preparing work orders for packing chromatography columns, assembling components, maintaining inventory levels, supplying solvents and hardware, manufacturing various types of security guard cartridges, and recycling failed columns in accordance with standard procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be cross-trained and rotate between several departments, including:

• Sorbent Room: Weigh and label sorbents accurately; pick appropriate empty column assemblies and request additional assemblies from product assembly if needed.
• Product Assembly: Assemble column hardware including end fittings, frits, and tubing.
• Security Guard Department: Pack various sorbents into security guard hardware.
• Recycling Area: Unpack used columns and recycle materials following established protocols.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and task focus
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain consistency in a regulated manufacturing environment
