About the Role

As an Assistant Nurse Manager– Inpatient , you’ll be more than a clinical leader—you’ll be a mentor, a collaborator, and a champion for patient-centered care. This is your opportunity to lead with heart, support a dedicated team, and help shape the future of nursing in a hospital that values every voice and every life.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Nurse Manager to guide and support a high-performing inpatient care team.
  • Lead with empathy—coaching staff, coordinating care, and ensuring every patient receives safe, high-quality, and dignified treatment.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance development for nursing and support staff.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a clinical role model, fostering evidence-based practices and compassionate care delivery.

Qualifications

  • A current RN license in the State of Connecticut.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Proven clinical competence and leadership experience in an inpatient setting.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and team-building skills.
  • A deep commitment to patient advocacy, safety, and holistic care.

Preferred Skills

  • BSN degree.
  • Experience in an inpatient setting.
  • Team-building skills.
