Job Description

Job Overview:

As an Assistant Project Manager you will be responsible for managing construction and renovation projects in mostly residential buildings from inception to completion (both interior and exterior) as owner’s representative.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys during various phases of construction.
  • Coordinate during the design and planning phase of the project.
  • Analyze all vendor proposals.
  • Review construction documents for accuracy.
  • Prepare and monitor construction budget and schedules.
  • Ability to assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Project coordination with outside vendors and consultants.
  • Analyze bids, and assist in preparing the contract for the scope of work.
  • Help manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, meeting minutes, submittals, and RFIs.Maintain client and vendor relations.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to the supervisor

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project management, construction, or as an assistant project manager.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows software.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with a high work load volume while also knowing when to ask for help and ask questions when the information is unfamiliar.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills is a must.
  • A high level of energy and a strong bias to service excellence and getting things done with a sense of urgency.
  • Possesses personal and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Diligent and self motivated.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A self-starter who leads by example and who is respected by all levels of employees.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and local regulations governing residential construction and renovations.
