As a Trade Finance Lawyer, you will provide legal support for the bank's trade finance business, including warehouse lending , letters of credit , supply chain finance documentation , and other related products. You will also advise on general corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Draft, review, and negotiate trade finance documentation, including:
  • Warehouse lending agreements
  • Letters of credit
  • Supply chain finance contracts
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues impacting trade finance transactions.
• Support corporate governance initiatives and ensure adherence to internal policies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including front office, risk, and compliance teams.
• Manage external counsel relationships where necessary.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to practice law in New York.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in trade finance law within a major law firm or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse lending structures, letters of credit, and supply chain finance.
• Familiarity with corporate governance requirements in a banking environment.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
