GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Wyoming Department of Corrections is seeking an Associate Warden for the Wyoming Women's Center. This position is responsible for the administration, supervision, coordination, and monitoring of all programming staff assigned to the facility. Responsible for all programming phases, including staff and inmate orientation, direction, training, supervision, performance evaluations, and constant monitoring of the facility's programming plan. Manages the development of inmate programming and collaborates with staff regarding inmate classification/reclassification, programs, job assignments, program reviews, and the handling of minor and general disciplinary reports and grievances. The Associate Warden is an at-will employee and serves at the discretion of the Director of Corrections. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (typically in Criminal Justice)
Experience:2-4 years of progressive work experience in a Correctional Setting with acquired knowledge at the level of a Correctional Captain or Program Manager
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
5-7 years of progressive work experience in a Correctional Setting with acquired knowledge at the level of a Correctional Captain or Program Manager
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:REQUIRED: All candidates must have/or be eligible to obtain Certified Correctional Executive Certification within eighteen (18) months of employment.
