Key Responsibilities

  • Manage installation, configuration, and commissioning of commercial AV systems, including video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, audio distribution, and video walls
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality guidelines, utilizing detailed Quality Control Checklists for each room or system.
  • Collaborate with clients and field engineers during Kick-Off calls to align on scope, identify challenges, and define timelines and deliverables.
  • Mentor and oversee field engineers to assess skills, address gaps, create training paths, and use expansive experience expertise to assist with on-the-job questions.
  • Develop and maintain internal performance standards and workflows to ensure consistent work quality and streamlined processes across all team members.
  • Plan, schedule, and lead hands-on training sessions and technical workshops, enhancing team capa­bilities and preparing them for real-world challenges.
  • Assist in resource scheduling, assigning the right engineers with appropriate skills to specific jobs, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Handle hiring, recruiting, performance reviews, and professional development for field engineers while addressing terminations when necessary to maintain a strong team.
  • Take on commissioning and configuration of select high-priority marquee projects, periodically signing yourself to projects to maintain skills and evaluate standards, processes, and methods.
  • Define the responsibilities of field engineers, emphasizing client and end-user etiquette while inte­grating RPM’s core values at every interaction level.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years in commercial AV installation, integration, and field engineering; 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in AV systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, QSC, Biamp, Shure, Dante, and networking protocols.

  • Certifications: Preferred industry certifications (e.g., CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, AV Tech­nology, or IT) or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with construction processes, blue­prints, schematics, and project planning tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications:

  • AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA30
  • Training or certifications in network streaming technologies such as Crestron NVX
  • Training or certifications Extron, Biamp, Harman, and QSC
