Summary of Responsibilities

Interact with Guests to ensure exemplary service in a friendly, attentive, and timely manner while dining at Another Broken Egg Cafe. Take orders, serve food and drinks, answer inquiries about the menu and comply with the wishes of the guest, as well as suggestively sell food and drinks. Work closely as a team to ensure guests receive excellent service.

Primary Responsibilities::
•Welcome Guests genuinely, get to know them and treat them like family.
•Have a strong knowledge of our Menu. Know how everything is made, where it came from, and why it is a great choice.
•Connect with Guests. Interact, learn, and make recommendations you genuinely feel they will enjoy.
•Take food and beverage orders. Accurately enter orders in our point-of-sale system.
•Be an instrumental and happy member of a fast-paced team; deliver food and beverages, seat guests, bus tables, build relationships, and constantly look for ways to help.
•Perform side work at the start, middle and end of each shift according to daily side-work-chart.
•Responsibility for cleanliness of the front of the house and expo including tables, terminals, refrigerators, drink stations, host stand and bar.
•Observe and ensure the ultimate in guest satisfaction with the food, service, and ambiance. Respond promptly and politely to any requests.
•Notify person-in-charge any time a guest is not 100% happy with their experience.
•Looks for opportunities and bring suggestions for improvement.

•Must fully understand and have knowledge of ABE food, beverage, and service standards.
•Be able to read menu items and speak English.
•Must be able to deliver plates, food and clear tables, which may require lifting of up to 30 lbs.
•Be able to reach, bend, stoop and perform cleaning duties. Walk or stand for a 6-10 hour shift.
•Be able to hear well with loud background noise, in order to answer telephone and respond to guest requests.
•Possess basic math skills and have the ability to operate a point-of-sale system.
