• Valid Class “A” CDL License (unrestricted)
• Clean driving record
• 2+ years experience operating a flatbed
• Ability to load, unload, and secure loads

Hours: 5am – 5pm (sometimes for non local hauls you may work until 11pm)

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a skilled CDL Driver to support one of our largest steel clients in the Houston, TX area. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of Class 8 tractor trailers, including the loading, unloading, and secure transport of materials. Candidates must be well-versed in DOT and FMCSA regulations, maintain equipment through regular inspections, and demonstrate strong communication and professionalism on the job. Punctuality, proper use of safety gear, and accurate completion of all required documentation are essential. Additional responsibilities may include yard work, administrative tasks, and strict adherence to company safety protocols, including post-accident procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a Class 8 tractor trailer.
• Load, unload, and secure cargo with care and precision.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and team members.
• Stay compliant with all state and federal DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on all equipment.
• Accurately complete and submit required documentation.
• Keep supervisors informed of any issues or concerns.
• Develop a solid understanding of the products being transported.
• Arrive on time, fully equipped with necessary safety gear.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
• Follow all safety protocols established by Brown Strauss.
• Comply with post-accident inspection procedures.
• Support additional yard, administrative, or operational tasks as needed.
