What you will do in this role:

• Timely transport material to our local/regional wholesale customers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Routes provided by dispatch daily. Tarp & strap shipments for safety and product protection in transit. Backhauls as needed.
• Be an active participant during deliveries - check material ensuring full delivery to each customer. Be the face of Russin with all customer exchanges.
• Process shipping documents , Pre- & Post-trip inspections, daily electronic logs with attention to detail.

You will need (requirements):

• A valid, clean Class A CDL license. ** required to apply** -- DUI free for 5 years.
• 3 years of CDL truck driving experience -- or -- 1 year of flatbed experience.
• Easy commuting distance of Montgomery, NY. Dependable attendance & customer focused.
• Safety awareness with focus on results & accuracy.
• Business command of English language - speak, read, write required.
• Able to work with limited supervision - partner with dispatcher as needed. This is your lifeline to the office. This support helps you problem solve & provide best practice approach to ensure an excellent customer experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, including basic math skills required.
• Currently hold a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required.
• Work the required schedule, complete employment application, and submit to a background verification, & drug screening.

• Drivers must be able to see & hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Drivers will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. They frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. Drivers must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 75lbs.
• Drivers must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as access the flatbed area.
