Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator and Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery on a pipeline project and hauling heavy equipment around job site. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and safely while adhering to all operational guidelines. The Equipment Operator will work with machinery such as dozers, excavators, sidebooms, heavy haul trucks and backhoes, contributing to the successful completion of construction.

Duties

  • Mobilize heavy equipment to various locations on the project adhering to any and all DOT requirements.
  • Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to mini, mid-size, and large excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, and heavy haul trucks
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on construction sites or farms.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow on-site.

Experience

  • Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is required. Pipeline construction experience is highly recommended.
  • Experience digging around underground and overhead utilities
  • Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including excavators, side booms, dozers, blades and backhoes is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices related to heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • MSHA and Operator Qualifications strongly preferred
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • E-Verify check required
  • Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s)
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Wage depends on qualifications and evaluated experience. Project is expected to be 60hrs per week with 6 days of per diem.
