Job Description

OR Scrub Tech – Liver Transplant (Night Shift, 3x12s)

Start Date: January 26, 2026

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Schedule: Saturday, Sunday + one rotating weekday

Call Requirement: 40–60 hours per 6‑week schedule

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced OR Scrub Tech with strong, recent experience in liver transplant recipient procedures . This role is within a high‑acuity academic teaching hospital environment, working alongside complex surgical teams.

➡️ Liver transplant scrub experience is a HARD STOP requirement.

Required Experience & Core Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of OR Scrub Tech experience
  • Required experience:
  • Liver transplant recipient procedures
  • Large open abdominal cases
  • General, Urology, Thoracic, GYN
  • Plastics
  • Whipple
  • Liver resection
  • Free flap
  • Strong aseptic technique
  • Daily Surgical Volume: ~35 cases
  • OR Rooms: 22
  • Equipment: DaVinci XI

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • NBSTSA Certification

Preferred Background

  • Trauma Level I experience
  • Cerner charting experience
  • Flexible endoscope reprocessing experience (Bronchoscopes, EGD, EUS, Flex Sig scopes)

This role supports high‑acuity surgical specialties including:

  • Transplant cases

Traveler Requirements

  • Minimum 18 months recent experience (unit exceptions may apply)
  • Two supervisor references required
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Floating is 100% required within the facility or affiliates
  • Local rules vary; IN residents are considered local
  • Education must come from ACEN or CCNE‑accredited program
  • RTO: Up to 5 non‑holiday days auto‑approved
  • License must be in hand before start
  • COVID‑19 Vaccine: Not required

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
