🔍 What You'll Do:

As a Claims/OS&D Specialist , you'll be the detective, problem-solver, and quality guardian of our freight operations. Your mission? To ensure overages, shortages, damages (OS&D), and claims are managed with speed, accuracy, and care — keeping our customers happy and our processes sharp.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Investigating and resolving OS&D freight issues, including refused, undelivered, and damaged shipments
• Creating and enhancing tools to improve freight matching, shipment disposition documentation, and exception tracking
• Building strong working relationships with regional operations teams to resolve recurring issues and improve processes
• Ensuring hazardous material inventory records are accurate and aligned between physical and digital systems
• Coordinating with vendors to ensure safe and compliant disposal of spills, aligned with EPA and OSHA standards
• Managing billing processes in line with tariffs and pricing agreements
• Partnering with the cargo claims team to execute daily tasks that minimize claim exposure
• Acting as the liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve shipment-related discrepancies
• Improving documentation and controls to reduce claim potential, such as handling shipper-loaded trailer exceptions and PODs effectively

✅ What You Bring to the Table:

• 4+ years of operational experience in transportation, warehousing, or a related logistics field
• 3+ years of OS&D-specific experience — you know your way around freight like a pro
• Solid knowledge of hazardous material handling and regulatory compliance
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook — the works)
• A knack for critical thinking, attention to detail, and smart problem-solving
• The agility to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
• Top-notch communication skills — both verbal and written — with the ability to simplify complex information and collaborate across teams
