What will you be doing?
- Determine setup requirements, operation sequence, and tolerance of finished parts by interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.
- Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material to set guides for subsequent machining processes.
- Machine bar stock to precise specifications.
- Verify the conformance of finished parts to specifications using precision measuring tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required.
- Assist with additional duties as assigned, depending on workload and business needs.
What do you bring?
- Proven mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficient in intermediate math and reading.
- Practical experience with Okuma lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment used in machine shops.
- Strong experience operating Okuma lathes is essential.
- MasterCam programming experience required!!!
- Ability to modify CNC programs.
- Adequate motor skills to safely and efficiently operate tools and machinery.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of the scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
