Job Description: Commercial Refrigeration Technician

Location: Allentown, PA (Nationwide Travel Required)

Salary: $50,000 - $80,000 (Based on Experience)

Our client is a leading commercial food service company based out of Allentown, PA. They are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician to join the growing team. This position requires a highly motivated individual with preferred expertise in refrigeration, HVAC systems, welding, and EPA testing. Candidates must be willing to travel nationwide for 2-3 weeks out of the month. Please review the below job duties and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems in commercial food service environments.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and energy efficiency.
• Conduct EPA-compliant testing, including refrigerant recovery and leak detection.
• Utilize welding skills to repair and fabricate system components as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently while ensuring minimal downtime.
• Install new HVAC and refrigeration equipment according to company standards and specifications.
• Maintain detailed service records and provide clear communication to customers and internal teams.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations during service and repairs.

Requirements:

• Experience in one of the following trades: HVAC Tech, Plumber, Maintenance Tech, Refer deration Tech, Welder, or CNC Machinist (Willing to train based on one of these trades)
• Commercial food service application experience preferred.
• Valid EPA Certification (Type II or Universal required) preferred.
• Proficient in welding and brazing techniques for system repairs.
• Ability to travel nationwide for 2-3 weeks out of the month.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
