**Construction Laborer (Bridge) CDL A or B Required Southern Region**
Construction (Bridge) Multiple States, Tennessee Department **Construction (Bridge)** Minimum Experience **Entry-level** Compensation **Hourly DOE** Railroad Consultants, PLLC is hiring a Bridge Laborer.
Railroad Consultants provides railroad engineering, construction, and field services to Class I, regional and short line railroads throughout the United States. Accountability:
* Perform various physical labor tasks *safely* to complete bridge construction, maintenance, demolition, etc. using a variety of hand tools, power tools and construction equipment. Works in a team atmosphere, follows instruction, desires to learn and reports to the Bridge Foreman.
Responsibilities:
* Complete tasks as requested by the Bridge Foreman
* Construct bridges
* Dig ditches, trenches and backfill excavations
* Use track tools, ballast tools, pneumatic tools and other tools as necessary to complete their job
* Work safely and wear the proper PPE for job duties as required
* Keep project sites, vehicles and equipment clean of debris, trash and other hazards
* Extensive travel is required
Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years or older
* A minimum of one year construction experience is preferred, but not required
* Travel to various project work sites as required
* Understand and follow safety rules, policies, procedures and regulations
* Understand both verbal and written communications and instructions
* Work as part of a team and follow instruction by Track Foreman
Physical Requirements:
* Work at construction sites
* Move, lift, push or pull heavy objects up to 100 pounds
* Exposure to inclement weather including, extremely cold and/or hot weather
* Work outdoors at railroad construction sites in all weather conditions, including very hot and cold weather
* Capable of walking long distances on uneven or rough terrain
* Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending and handling of materials, equipment and tools
* Exposure to loud noise, live track/trains and high voltage
* Must wear appropriate PPE, such as safety glasses, safety boots, hard hats, and hearing protection, as required by the company
