Job Description

Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager will coordinate with customers and suppliers, as well as internal stakeholders throughout the contract life cycle to meet the needs of Latecoere International Responsibilities.

Essential Duties:

  • Will lead contract negotiation processes and build strong collaborative relationships internally and externally to drive strong, time-sensitive results.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate business contracts to support business objectives and policies of the firm; lead and collaborate throughout contracting processes by analyzing significant business, financial, and legal risks; develop and communicate creative solutions and mitigation strategies for key negotiation points.
  • Collaborate with department representatives and firm leaders to understand upcoming contract needs for new deals and renewals; prioritize deal support in planning process; implement legal strategy to focus on high value activities.
  • Responsible for initiating, drafting, administering, negotiating, analyzing, revising, closing, and tracking contracts.
  • Responsible for and leads the preparation, negotiation, and administration of commercial customer contracts.
  • Ensure proper contract fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and accounting practices including audits, rates, and analysis of contract cost data.
  • Provide guidance to project/program managers to ensure contractual compliance with all awarded contracts.
  • Provide support to executives by providing review of government solicitations to analyze protocols and resources needed to comply with proposed obligations.
  • Participate in proposal preparation, review, and bid/no bid analysis.
  • Review, interpret, and recommend acceptance, revisions, exceptions to contracts and contract modifications to ensure that prices, delivery schedule, specifications, terms, and conditions are consistent with those proposed.
  • Ensure key contracts, firm procurement initiatives, and sourcing strategies are aligned with the overall priorities of the firm’s legal function, paying special attention to privacy/data security and risk management practices as they develop.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in administration of aerospace contracts negotiation, proposal development and project management.
  • Experience in proposal preparation, negotiations, contract awards, and contracts management and administration.
  • Extensive experience in reviewing RFQ’s and RFP’s and managing the preparation of all submission documents.
  • Understands ITAR regulatory requirements for control of technical data, drawings, and components.
  • Ability to interpret military specifications and familiarity with aerospace manufacturing operations.
  • Significant experience in reviewing commercial and legal terms and conditions as well as negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Familiar with US export control laws

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce. Law, or equivalent applicable experience.
