Job Title: Controls Project Manager

Location: Seattle, WA

Job Summary

We seek a highly skilled Controls Project Manager to oversee the designing, installing, and commissioning of building automation systems (BAS) in commercial mechanical construction projects. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in BACnet DDC controls and a mechanical or electrical engineering background. The right candidate will manage project timelines, budgets, and technical execution while ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire building automation systems (BAS) project lifecycle, from planning and design to procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Utilize expertise in BACnet, DDC controls, and automation platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones and technical requirements are met.
• Develop and review control system drawings using AutoCAD, Visio, and Bluebeam, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams, proactively addressing challenges and optimizing system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; EIT or PE license is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in controls project management, with a stable and local work history in Seattle.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and Bluebeam, with additional experience in MS Project, Revit, Trimble AutoBid, and Navisworks preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of BACnet and DDC control systems, with hands-on experience in Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, Metasys, and Schneider Electric.
• Exceptional communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead teams and coordinate effectively with stakeholders.
