Job Description

Basic Function: A Teller/Customer Service Representative is accountable for processing all our client transactions as well as providing them with excellent customer service. Making sure clients are pleased with the services provided is one of the most important aspects of this position.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming environment for all clients.
  • Assisting customers with processing transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, or payments, resolving complaints or account discrepancies, and answering questions.
  • Informing customers about bank products and services.
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer daily and provide proof (using tapes) that all transactions match those on your Teller Desktop System.
  • Verifying client transactions, including wires, checks, transfers, and ach.
  • Handling currency, transactions, and confidential information in a responsible manner.
  • Accurately and swiftly process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and wire transfers.
  • Keep records of Bank Checks sold and maintain file with OFAC search results for payee.
  • Respond to emails from clients in a timely manner and see that their request has been processed to their likeness as long as bank policies and procedures were followed.
  • Ordering new debit cards for clients when they expired was lost or stolen.
  • Answering incoming phone calls.
  • Facilitate the opening of new accounts, including the ordering of checks and debit cards.
  • Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
  • Open commercial and consumer accounts.
  • Comply with all department Security, company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Background and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, and 1-3 years Teller/customer service experience.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
  • Elevated level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Prior Customer Service experience.
  • Sales Force experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with the federal, state and Bank Secrecy Act regulatory requirements.

Estimated Salary Range:

  • $45,000 - $55,000 / year
  • Compensation may vary based on education, skills, qualifications and/or expertise.
