Design and Documentation Checker

Primary job responsibility will be to perform the Design and Documentation Checking function, for mechanical, electrical, and electronic packaging engineering drawings and specifications. This person will be required to perform all functions associated with the Design and Documentation Checking process which include but are not limited to format, specification compliance, completeness, accuracy, design soundness, ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards, ASME Y-series.
Drawing and Documentation standards, fabrication, producibility, assembly, installation, and interface validity, tolerance analysis, BOM verification, data and configuration knowledge, change requests and notification methods. Person should be proficient in the use of Windchill, and have expertise in all areas of tolerance analysis, GD&T, electro/mechanical design skills and model checking skills. Person should be considered an emerging expert with 5 years minimum in the Mechanical and/or Electronic Packaging Design and/or Design Checking.
Basic Required Qualifications:
-Active Secret clearance required to start (with 5-year background investigation)
-Bachelor's Degree (8-10 years experience)- or 15-20 years relevant experience. Or Master's Degree (6-8 years experience)
-5+ years experience with BOM verification, data and configuration knowledge, change requests and notification methods.
-Proficient in the use of Windchill, and have expertise in all areas of tolerance analysis, GD&T, electro/mechanical design skills and model checking skills.
-Model based definition
-5+ years experience in the Mechanical and/or Electronic Packaging Design and/or Design Checking.
-8+ years experience with ASME Y-series.
Worksite classification allows for possible 2 days Work from home, with 2 days on site during contract assignment.
