Job Description

Location: Gilbert, AZ (Hybrid – 2-3 days in office per week) 

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Salary Range: $160,000 – $200,000 per year, depending on experience

Position Overview

We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Technology to lead our technology function and drive innovation across our rapidly scaling business. This role will be responsible for overseeing software development, infrastructure, product integration, and long-term tech strategy while managing a growing team and vendor relationships.

This is a high-impact leadership position that blends technical expertise with business acumen. You'll shape the future of our tech stack, scale systems, and build tools that directly enable our operational and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities Technology Leadership & Strategy
  • Define and own the overall technology roadmap aligned with company growth goals
  • Guide system architecture decisions, technical frameworks, and infrastructure strategy
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency
  • Integrate systems and consolidate redundancies
Product Development Oversight
  • Lead development across home-grown software products and third-party integrations
  • Prioritize development efforts with business leaders across departments
  • Ensure products are scalable, reliable, secure, and user-friendly
  • 50% of time should be spent in the code; developing, refining, and quality testing
Team Management
  • Build, mentor, and lead a growing team of engineers, admins, and contractors
  • Establish clear KPIs and performance expectations for team and project success
  • Drive an agile development culture with strong testing, deployment, and code review practices
Salesforce & Systems Management
  • Oversee the Salesforce platform as a central system of record
  • Ensure proper configuration, integration, and adoption across teams
  • Drive automation and data flow between Salesforce and other platforms
Operations & IT
  • Manage company-wide equipment lifecycle (procurement, setup, maintenance)
  • Support IT infrastructure and security policy enforcement
  • Oversee relationships with key vendors, contractors, and third-party tools
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience, including technical leadership
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture, infrastructure, and security
  • Experience building and managing teams in high-growth environments
  • Familiarity with:
  • Ruby on Rails, Vue.js
  • Salesforce customization and integration
  • Cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS)
  • PostgreSQL, Tailwind CSS, Git, Jira, Confluence
  • API integrations and modern web technologies
Preferred
  • Experience with mobile development (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin, Flutter)
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Admin, Developer)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
