Job Description

About Norlee Group

Norlee Group is a multi-trade building systems organization delivering integrated electrical, mechanical, and technology solutions across commercial, industrial, institutional, and specialty markets. As part of our continued growth under the One Norlee platform, we are seeking a Director of Procurement to lead enterprise-wide procurement and supply chain strategy, operations, and team development across the organization.

About the Role

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading enterprise-wide IT operations, infrastructure, security, and service delivery across Norlee Group’s multi-entity environment. This role supports more than 500 office and field users across multiple locations and business units, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions aligned with business objectives.

Reporting to the VP of Information Technology, the Director will oversee IT service delivery, infrastructure engineering, compliance initiatives, and team leadership. This role is both strategic and execution-focused, requiring a leader who can balance long-term technology planning with hands-on operational excellence in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven organization.

A key priority of this role is leading Norlee Group through SOC 2 Type 2 certification while maintaining ISO 27001 compliance and supporting CMMC readiness initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead enterprise IT operations, including helpdesk, infrastructure, and end-user support across all Norlee locations.
  • Establish service levels, escalation protocols, and performance metrics to drive high-quality IT service delivery.
  • Direct IT engineering efforts covering networks, servers, virtualization, cloud platforms, and telecommunications.
  • Oversee infrastructure projects, vendor relationships, capacity planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including testing, documentation, and staff readiness.
  • Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper system access, equipment provisioning, and asset tracking in coordination with HR and business leaders.
  • Lead SOC 2 Type 2 certification efforts, including control implementation, evidence collection, audit coordination, and continuous compliance maintenance.
  • Maintain ISO 27001 compliance and support broader cybersecurity, risk management, and incident response initiatives.
  • Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with Norlee’s growth, acquisition, and integration roadmap.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing IT teams through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.
  • Translate technical concepts into business-relevant insights for executive and operational leadership.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience with increasing responsibility across technical and leadership roles.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT teams and enterprise-scale environments.
  • Proven experience supporting organizations with 500+ users across multiple sites.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related security standards.
  • Strong background in enterprise infrastructure, hybrid cloud environments, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or field services environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing vendors, contracts, budgets, and competing priorities in complex organizations.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional certifications preferred, including ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, PMP, or relevant cloud and infrastructure credentials.

Travel & Work Environment

This role is primarily office-based and requires regular travel to support Norlee locations and initiatives. Occasional extended hours may be required during critical incidents, system implementations, or major projects.
