Amteck is currently looking to add a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to our team in Lexington, KY. We are looking for people who are interested in working with a company that promotes growth and longevity within the industry. This individual will design electrical power systems for construction projects located across the country in a fast-paced, challenging, fun and rewarding environment.

Position requirements include but are not limited to:

• Collecting and organizing all of the bid information documents from the General Contractor(s)
• Evaluate the bid documents and determine the best methods and strategies for design with assistance from the engineering manager/pre-construction manager
• Provide bid information as needed to the appropriate design services providers
• Perform preliminary designs
• Provide the estimating team with all known bid breakdown requirements
• Evaluate all quoted items for accuracy
• Organize the bid documents
• Coordinate with the pre-construction manager to follow up with the client until the bid is won or lost

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred but not required
• Professional Engineer License required
• Experience in AutoCAD and Revit strongly preferred
• Ability to understand, interpret and troubleshoot customers’ needs and problems
• Experienced in electrical design and circuits
• Strong administrative, accounting, computer and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
• Knowledge of construction principles/practices required
• Experience dealing with subcontracts and subcontractors
• Ability to build trust and influence others internally and externally
• 10% travel required
