Position Overview:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates for structural steel components conducting detailed takeoffs labor estimates and reviewing vendor quotes. You will also prepare supporting documentation to create complete estimates and ensure scope compliance with contract documents. Additional responsibilities include reviewing construction plans and assisting in training EstimatorsinTraining.

Our awardwinning client a leader in the steel fabrication and erection industry is seeking a midlevel Estimator to join their team. Established in 1909 and operating across 19 production facilities this company is known for its capability in delivering complex largescale structural projects. This newly created role will report directly to the VP of Sales and Estimating. Its a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant structural projects within a collaborative ethical and wellestablished workplace.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform computeraided and hand takeoff estimates for structural steel components.
• Review construction plans specifications and vendor quotes to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Produce estimate summaries identifying both basic and special requirements for the scope of work.
• Work closely with the VP of Sales and Estimating to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
• Assist in the training and development of junior estimators.

MustHave Qualifications:

• 23 years of experience in bridge construction estimating or a relevant field.
• Understanding of the means and methods of bridge construction.
• Experience reviewing construction plans and specifications.

NicetoHave Qualifications:

• Strong experience reviewing construction drawings.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Outlook and other computer tools.
• BS in Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field (preferred).

Candidate Details:

• Management Experience : Not required.
• Minimum Education : Bachelors degree (Civil Engineering Construction Management or related field preferred).
• Willingness to Travel : Up to 20%.

Pay : $50000 $70000 per year

• Understanding of means and methods of bridge construction: 1 year (required).

• Computer skills with knowledge of Bluebeam and Outlook: 1 year (preferred).
• Recent Estimator experience: 3 years (required).

Ability to Commute:

• Irving TX (required).

Ability to Relocate:

• Must relocate to Irving TX before starting work (required).
