Experienced Loan Officer Assistant

Location: Covina, CA (can work from home two times a week after 90-day period)

Job Type: Full-Time (36-40 hours per week)

Compensation: $21-$25 per hour (depending on experience), paid bi-weekly (W2)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented  Experienced Loan Officer Assistant to support our loan origination team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the mortgage industry who can efficiently manage loan files, coordinate with clients and third parties, and ensure smooth transactions from application to closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Loan Officer in managing the loan process from application to funding.
  • Communicate with clients, realtors, and processors to gather necessary documentation.
  • Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
  • Order credit reports, appraisals, title work, and other required documents.
  • Monitor loan pipelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Stay up to date with loan program guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by keeping borrowers informed throughout the process.
  • Identify and resolve loan-related issues proactively.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the mortgage industry, preferably in a Loan Officer Assistant or Processing role.
  • Strong understanding of loan products, underwriting guidelines, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot loan-related issues.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in loan origination systems (LOS) and mortgage-related software.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • NMLS license preferred but not required.
