The Fashion Design Assistant is vital in supporting the design team in creating innovative and stylish clothing. They will assist in various stages of the design process, from conceptualization to delivery, contributing to developing fashion collections that align with our brand’s vision and aesthetics.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Collaborate closely with the Fashion Designer to conceptualize and sketch design ideas for new collections.

· Assist in conducting market research to identify trends, styles, and fabrics that resonate with our target audience.

· Create detailed technical sketches and CADs using design software or traditional methods.

· Help prepare mood boards, color palettes, and design presentations for design reviews and approvals.

· Contribute to developing sample garments, including patternmaking.

· Participate in fittings and adjustments to ensure garments fit accurately and meet design specifications.

· Assist in sourcing fabrics, trims, and accessories from suppliers and maintaining records of materials.

· Collaborate with the production team to communicate design specifications and resolve any production-related issues.

· Organize and maintain the design studio, including keeping track of samples, materials, and supplies.

· Support the design team in administrative tasks such as organizing schedules, preparing design documents, data entry, and managing design achieves.

· Assist the Creative Director in tasks assigned to them.

Requirements/Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Fashion design, textile, fine arts, merchandising, or related field.

· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Abode Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).

· Excellent design and conceptual skills.

· Basic understanding of pattern-making and garment construction techniques.

· Technical flat sketching along with Tech Pack development.

· Excellent sense of style and color.

· Outstanding time management and organization skills.

· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to meet multiple deadlines.

· Strong knowledge of fashion design/industrial product or industrial design

· Strong knowledge of product development, material, and trims for the assigned product range.

· A passion for fashion and a deep understanding of current and emerging trends, especially in women’s apparel.

· Enthusiasm for fashion, creativity, and a desire to learn and grown in a fast-paced environment.

· High level of creativity
