Job Description

Wiggert USA / Advanced Concrete Technologies, Inc. is a leading supplier of batching and mixing plant solutions custom engineered by our German division, Wiggert & Co, for the North American concrete industry. Wiggert has more than 5000 installations worldwide with a large percentage in North America.

We are currently looking for an experienced Service Technician to provide mechanical or electrical assistance during batch plant installations for our North American customers. This position requires travel approximately 75% of the time.

To be considered, candidates must be based in US as well as have prior experience with large scale industrial mechanical and/or electrical service work. In addition, candidates should have strong technical aptitude, be able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and have some experience with automation and PLC control systems. An ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communications, project management experience, and the ability to effectively supervise and lead a team.

We are looking for someone who carries a high level of professionalism and is a consistent self-starter. You must be hands-on, detail-oriented, team-oriented, and respectful. The ideal candidate can live anywhere in the US and must be willing to travel extensively within the North American, and occasionally outside of the United States. 

 Responsibilities

  • Provide field support to customers in managing equipment installations
  • Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on site
  • Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance to customers who are experiencing operational issues
  • Complete on-site system audits and evaluations
  • Offer comprehensive training to customers at their site
  • Practice and adhere to all safety and training

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Associates degree and/or technical training school; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience of 5+ years.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (This role is approximately 75% travel)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
