Job Description

Position Summary

CodeGreen is seeking a fire alarm consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have up to 10 years of experience in fire alarm engineering, code consulting and expediting with strong technical, project management, and business development skills. This role involves conducting fire alarm code analysis, plan reviews, inspections, and report preparation while collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical

  • Prepare and submit FDNY filings for approval
  • Perform plan reviews of fire alarm systems, fire department access plans, and other fire protection elements.
  • Conduct fire alarm inspections, witness testing, and walkthroughs, as well as attend FDNY inspections.
  • Prepare clear and actionable inspection reports.

Project Management

  • Assist in project management, including client communication, scope delivery, and billing.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Business Development

  • Prepare proposals
  • Contribute to seminars, blog posts, and marketing collateral.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Up to 10 years of experience in fire protection engineering and code consulting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail while managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Bluebeam Revu.
