Job Description

The Forklift Maintenance Mechanic ensures all forklifts and material handling equipment operate safely and efficiently. This position performs maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep operations running smoothly, supporting a fast-paced, industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Inspect hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems for wear or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all safety protocols.
• Support repairs on other shop and facility equipment when required.
• Read and interpret service manuals, diagrams, and schematics to identify issues.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and prioritize repairs and parts needs.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of forklift repair or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and forklift certification required.
• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade training preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in shop environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
