Job Description

Fitler Club is expanding its vision of world-class hospitality to the newly revitalized Cobbs Creek Golf Campus, with the launch of Little Horse Tavern—a dynamic new food and beverage concept rooted in history, community, and culinary excellence.

We are seeking a seasoned and passionate General Manager to lead all operations for Little Horse Tavern, including restaurant, bar, private events, and on-course dining. This is a rare opportunity to shape the identity and experience of a premier Philadelphia destination from the ground up.

About the Role:

As General Manager, you’ll serve as the driving force behind all Food & Beverage operations at Little Horse Tavern. In collaboration with the Cobbs Creek General Manager and Executive Chef, you’ll create a seamless, service-driven environment for both guests and team members. You’ll lead with vision and accountability while ensuring top-tier experiences both on and off the course.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:

  • Lead service standards and uphold excellence in every guest interaction
  • Be highly visible and engaged—touch tables, manage feedback, and embody the voice of the restaurant
  • Drive traffic through memorable guest experiences, activations, and events
  • Collaborate with the Cobbs Creek team for seamless cross-functional guest service

Team & Culture:

  • Recruit, train, and mentor a top-performing management and hourly team
  • Lead employee onboarding, ongoing training, and performance development
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality
  • Partner with HR to manage employee relations and disciplinary processes when needed

Operations & Financial Oversight:

  • Oversee daily and strategic operations, including scheduling, inventory, payroll, and vendor relations
  • Monitor food, beverage, and labor costs to ensure adherence to the budget
  • Review weekly and monthly performance reports and P&L statements
  • Ensure all permits, inspections, and safety regulations are maintained and up to date
  • Lead regular recaps and contribute to operational meetings with executive leadership

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Food & Beverage, with a strong preference for backgrounds in golf course operations and familiarity with the local community.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
  • Clear, confident communication skills with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Understanding of financials, labor management, P&L review, and cost control strategies
  • ServSafe certification and POS system proficiency preferred
  • Physical capability to meet the demands of an active, on-the-floor leadership role
