Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled General Superintendent to lead the interior build-out of a new 15,000 sq ft facility in Boca Raton, FL, including associated outdoor areas and site improvements. This role oversees all field operations, ensures schedule and quality control, and maintains a safe, efficient jobsite from mobilization through turnover. The ideal candidate has deep experience in high-end commercial interiors, strong finish sequencing skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Execution

• Direct all onsite construction activities for the 15,000 sq ft interior build-out and outdoor components.
• Maintain daily presence on site, ensuring work is progressing according to plan, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel with clear communication and proactive problem-solving.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality benchmarks throughout the project lifecycle.

Scheduling & Coordination

• Develop, maintain, and enforce the project’s three-week lookahead and overall master schedule.
• Sequence trades to ensure efficient workflow, especially during high-density finish phases.
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager on procurement, long-lead items, and material delivery timing.
• Manage daily logistics, including site access, laydown areas, and equipment staging.

Quality Control

• Enforce their standards for craftsmanship, cleanliness, and installation accuracy.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and field conditions to identify conflicts early.
• Conduct punch walks and ensure all deficiencies are resolved prior to client turnover.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant jobsite at all times.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and ensure subcontractors follow all safety protocols.
• Document incidents, near misses, and corrective actions as required.

Communication & Reporting

• Provide daily reports, photos, and updates to the Project Manager and ownership.
• Facilitate weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Serve as the primary onsite representative for the client, inspectors, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent or General Superintendent in commercial construction.
• Proven track record managing interior build-outs, ideally in hospitality, retail, or other high-finish environments.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, structural coordination, and finish sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent scopes, including interior and exterior work.
