Position: Maître D' Location: Upper West Side, NYC Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday | 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM Industry: Hospitality / Luxury Lounge Salary Range (Dependent on experience): $70,000 - 80,000 Our client, an upscale hospitality group operating a luxury lounge on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, is seeking an experienced and polished Maître D' to join their front-of-house leadership team. This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone who brings warmth, professionalism, and exceptional attention to detail to every guest interaction. As the Maître D’, you’ll be the face of the guest experience—greeting guests with genuine hospitality, managing reservations and walk-ins, and ensuring smooth coordination between service teams. You’ll also build relationships with regulars and VIPs, contributing to a welcoming and memorable atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Warmly welcome guests and manage the flow of reservations, walk-ins, and VIPs Maintain and oversee the reservation system, including waitlists and table assignments Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure balanced seating rotation and timely service Build rapport with regular guests and VIPs, anticipating needs and preferences Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and poise Ensure the front entrance and host area remain clean, polished, and inviting Support training and mentorship of host staff, as needed Qualifications: Previous experience as a Maître D’, Host/Hostess, or in a similar front-of-house leadership role within upscale dining or lounge settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills Polished appearance and confident, professional demeanor Ability to stay composed and multitask in a fast-paced environment Availability to work evenings and weekends consistently
