HR Generalist – Payroll Focused | Escalon, CA

$75,000 – $95,000 | Medical Benefits Provided

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join their team in Escalon, CA ! This is an exciting opportunity to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on payroll and HR operations . Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process weekly payroll and ensure timely submission
• Audit and review timecards for missed punches, errors, and compliance
• Prepare and maintain labor billing reports
• Reconcile benefits and 401(k) contributions
• Manage Leaves of Absence (LOAs) including FMLA, CFRA, and personal leave
• Handle Workers’ Compensation claims , documentation, and return-to-work coordination
• Complete new hire paperwork and ensure a smooth onboarding process
• Maintain up-to-date personnel files and HR documentation
• Support the annual employee review and performance evaluation process
• Collaborate with hiring managers on recruiting and staffing needs
• Assist with employee relations and conduct investigations when necessary
• Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, with strong payroll expertise
• Proficient in payroll and HRIS software (Paycom experience a plus)
• Working knowledge of LOA administration and Workers' Compensation procedures
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage competing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
