We seek an HVAC Service Sales Director to lead our service sales operations, drive strategic growth, and expand our presence.

Overview

As an HVAC Service Sales Director, you will develop and execute the company's service sales strategy, manage high-level client relationships, and lead a team of sales professionals. This leadership role requires a dynamic, results-oriented individual with extensive industry knowledge, strong business development skills, and a proven ability to drive sales growth through service contract acquisition, customer retention, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow commercial HVAC service revenue in existing and new markets across San Diego, California.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the service sales team, setting goals, providing training, and ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Build high-value relationships with key commercial clients, decision-makers, and strategic partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including multi-site contracts, retrofit opportunities, and service agreements.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor positioning, and customer needs.
  • Oversee the preparation of proposals, pricing strategies, and presentations for major clients and contracts.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and finance teams to align sales goals with company objectives and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings as a trusted leader and HVAC expert.
  • Ensure all CRM, forecasting, and reporting processes are accurate and current.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commercial HVAC, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or leadership sales role.
  • Proven success in growing service sales revenue and managing a sales team within the HVAC, mechanical, or building services industries.
  • Deep understanding of commercial HVAC systems, service operations, and long-term maintenance contract structures.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to create and implement effective go-to-market plans.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with design-build or performance-based HVAC contracting.
  • A technical background or certification in mechanical systems or HVAC technologies is preferred.
