Overview

MUSC Health Columbia is hiring a strategic, business-minded Imaging Director to lead system-level transformation across its Midlands Division. The selected leader will drive operational performance, outpatient growth, and service line integration across multiple imaging sites. This is a key hire in a broader initiative to raise leadership standards and align imaging services with enterprise-level strategy and growth goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee imaging operations across hospital and outpatient locations
• Own service line budgeting, labor management, and financial performance
• Improve throughput, access, and patient volume across sites
• Collaborate in dyad or triad models with clinical and physician leaders
• Standardize imaging workflows and performance metrics across facilities
• Lead planning, implementation, and tracking of major operational initiatives
• Identify opportunities for efficiency, alignment, and external referral growth

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership in imaging or radiology operations
• Strong business acumen: P&L, KPIs, forecasting, and labor/supply cost control
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
• Ability to translate strategy and data into action
• Strong communication skills across stakeholders, including clinical teams
• Clinical background (e.g., RT) helpful but not required

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• MBA or MHA preferred
• 9+ years of progressive experience, including 4+ years in management
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Licensure/certifications as applicable to background
