Highspring(formerly known as Focus Search Partners) has been engaged with a trusted Private Equity client, and they are in search of an Interim Director of FP&A for their $200M Healthcare Servives Business. This is a hands-on interim Director of FP&A role, where the role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, financial analysis, and performance measurement, while serving as a key business partner to executive leadership and the private equity sponsor. The position plays a critical role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and enabling informed business decisions.:
This a fully remote role but the candidate can travel to Louisville as needed.
Detailed Responsibilities include:
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes in collaboration with business leaders.
• Develop and maintain financial models, including scenario analyses for business cases, investments, and operational initiatives.
• Perform detailed variance analysis to explain financial performance across revenue, margins, and expenses.
• Own consolidated Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts.
Strategic Decision Support
• Provide financial insight and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
• Lead analysis related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), integration planning, labor strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Deliver actionable insights to guide resource allocation, margin improvement, and growth strategies.
KPI Development & Performance Measurement
• Establish and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational dashboards aligned with strategic goals.
• Partner with business unit leaders to analyze trends, productivity, and operational metrics.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of KPIs across the organization.
Executive & Board Communication
• Prepare board-level materials, including financial packages, forecasts, and performance reviews.
• Present financial information in a clear, concise manner for executives, board members, and private equity stakeholders.
• Anticipate executive questions and proactively provide supporting analysis.
Education & Experience
• Track record of success as a Hands-on Director of FP&A for PE-owned multi-site healthcare services business with revenues of $150M+
• Experience leading a budget cycle end to end
