BIP US is seeking to grow its US consulting team and is looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer with 5 to 7 years of professional experience leading digital design projects for physical environments to join our East Coast consulting team.

You must have valid US work authorization and must physically reside in the Wake Forest area, within a 50-mile commute. We are unable to support relocation costs.

Specific Opportunity:

This consultant will drive the creation of cutting-edge digital experiences within physical retail spaces. This role will shape the future of digital-physical interactions for one of the world’s leading tech companies, with influence across global markets. This role will design innovative, interactive in-store experiences that seamlessly blend the digital and physical worlds, working closely with a cross-functional team of UX/UI designers, engineers, and brand strategists to create immersive experiences that align with the brand's vision and drive business results. This position plays a key role in shaping the strategy and direction of the East Coast studio, leading its growth, fostering collaboration, and ensuring operational success, while expanding the U.S. client base, fostering new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing partners.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design Leadership: Lead the creation of innovative digital-physical retail experiences that align with the brand’s vision and set industry standards. Develop user-centered designs for seamless customer interactions in physical spaces using cutting-edge digital technology.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work with the global product design team to ensure alignment with brand strategy, product objectives, and technical capabilities. Collaborate with UX/UI Design Team to develop impactful design concepts for diverse global audiences.
  • Studio Leadership: Establish and grow the East Coast studio, driving operations, resource planning, and creative processes. Mentor and inspire the team to foster a collaborative, innovative culture.
  • Business Development: Expand the U.S. client portfolio by identifying opportunities, forging relationships, and nurturing partnerships. Represent the design team in pitches, meetings, and industry events.
  • Project Management and Execution: Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, from concept to execution, ensuring high-quality implementation. Manage design quality, user testing, and optimization.
  • Innovation and Trendspotting: Stay ahead of industry trends, integrating the latest technologies and practices to push the boundaries of digital-physical retail experiences.

Requirements:

  • Proven Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of experience leading digital design projects for physical environments, particularly in retail or experiential design. A portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating interactive, immersive experiences in spaces like retail stores, showrooms, or branded environments. Experience with UX/UI design is a plus.
  • Visionary Thinking: A creative, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to translate complex ideas into user-centered designs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Leadership and Team Building: Strong ability to lead and inspire design teams and cross-functional partners, managing competing priorities and fostering a collaborative, high-quality work environment.
  • Business Acumen: Proven track record in business development, expanding client portfolios, building long-term relationships, pitching design concepts, and executing large-scale design projects that meet both creative and business objectives.
  • Expertise in Design Tools & Processes: Mastery of industry-standard tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and prototyping tools, with a solid understanding of the technical requirements for physical installations.
  • Global Perspective: Ability to think globally, design for diverse markets, and work with international teams or manage global design projects.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts clearly to both internal teams and senior leadership, as well as external clients.

**The base salary range for this role is $80,000-$110,000**
