Tired of just doing intakes and getting medical records? Want to manage a case from start to finish? We are a reputable Plaintiff’s personal injury litigation firm located in the West LA/Brentwood area looking to hire an entry-level or experienced full-time legal assistant. We are looking for the right candidate to join our personable and social staff. We are willing to train the right candidate. You will have the opportunity to learn personal injury litigation and case management from A to Z. This is an ideal position for someone looking to break into the legal field, and/or is considering becoming a paralegal. Prefer if you have 1-3 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

Candidate will handle all aspects of personal injury claims including:

  • Screening new client intake calls
  • Requesting police reports and medical records
  • Tracking case progress
  • Maintaining constant communication and follow-ups with client,
  • Handling property damage claims
  • Writing demand letters
  • Negotiating liens
  • Filing lawsuits
  • Managing multiple calendars
  • Filing court documents
  • Coordinating depositions
  • Calendaring deadlines
  • Discovery
  • Preparing for trials, etc.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Very well organized
  • Must be reliable, professional, and willing to work in a team environment - you will be working together with other assistants and assisting partners and attorneys
