We are seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to provide clinical assessments, individual and group therapy, and treatment planning for individuals with serious mental illness and/or sexual offending behaviors. This role emphasizes collaborative care within a multidisciplinary team, the development of treatment curriculum, and ongoing evaluation of resident needs.
Schedule/Shift:
Full-time. Primarily weekdays, with flexibility to work some evenings (4:30 PM – 8:00 PM) and weekends. 5yr contract.
Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group therapy with residents diagnosed with serious mental illness or sexual offending behaviors
Perform clinical assessments, risk evaluations, and treatment planning
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Lead therapy sessions on topics like trauma, relapse prevention, healthy relationships, and risk reduction
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., nursing, psychiatry, social work, activities staff)
Document services and assessments in the Electronic Medical Record system
Review polygraph results, complete required reporting, and provide court testimony if needed
Support resident progression through treatment and provide input for program review boards
Participate in weekly team meetings and maintain compliance with all program, facility, and legal standards
Utilize evidence-based practices and stay current with treatment innovations
Requirements:
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related behavioral health field.
Active Kansas license through the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (LMSW).
Experience conducting assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning.
Strong clinical skills with serious mental illness populations.
Prior experience in sex offender treatment preferred.
Approved User of STABLE-2007 and ACUTE-2007 within 6 months of hire (if not already certified).
ATSA membership within 6 months of hire.
