Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision aerospace components. The ideal candidate has experience in machining complex parts, interpreting blueprints, and adhering to strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce aerospace components according to specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate production.
  • Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Work closely with engineers and quality control teams to meet production goals and resolve technical issues.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate records of machine settings and part measurements.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace industry standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in machining, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience with CNC programming (G-code, M-code) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials, including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and perform quality checks on machined components.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
