Position: Bakery Mechanic

Location: Orlando

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

What You’ll Do:

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on bakery equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and systems issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventive maintenance schedule to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
• Safety First: Promote a safe work environment by following and enforcing safety procedures and addressing any hazards promptly.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Proven experience in mechanical, electrical, or systems maintenance, preferably in a food production or manufacturing environment.
• Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of some or all of the following is a benefit, but not required:
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• HVAC/Refrigeration
• Welding
• Boilers
• Electrical skills
• Computer skills
• Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and comfortable with walking, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching.
• Self-Starter: A proactive attitude and the drive to learn independently and take initiative.
