Position Details:

Location: Bloomingdale Health Hub - Valrico, FL

Status: Fulltime/Salaried

Shift Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm

The Manager of the Fitness Center serves as a strategic and operational leader, responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the Center’s financial performance, program delivery, and member engagement. This role ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality health and wellness services while driving membership growth, fostering community relationships, and cultivating a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

  • Provide fiscal oversight including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Ensure financial targets are met and resources are allocated effectively.

Operational Excellence

  • Direct and/or coordinate all aspects of facility operations, including medical fitness, group exercise, personal training, and massage therapy.
  • Maintain seamless daily operations and respond promptly to emergent needs.

Membership Growth & Community Engagement

  • Represent BayCare in the community to promote programming and drive membership growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance member recruitment and retention.

Client & Member Relations

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and members to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Hire, supervise, and mentor Center staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track, analyze, and report key performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.

Customer Experience & Advocacy

  • Champion exceptional customer service standards and act as an advocate for the Center’s mission, programs, and team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Education:

  • Bachelors Degree - Exercise Science or Related Field

Required credentials:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support);
  • AED (Defibrillator)

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of Health Fitness experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a Supervisory role
