The Manager of Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for managing a team of mechanical design engineers developing cutting-edge technologies for the visualization of electromagnetic waves. Enhancing the speed and accuracy of wireless connectivity testing and the performance and reliability of anechoic and EMC technologies, our systems are integral to meeting the testing challenges of a fully connected world.

Responsibilities:

  • Own critical mechanical systems across a range of programs
  • Manage and lead mechanical design team responsible for custom design, fabrication, assembly, and installation of large precision motion systems.
  • Report schedule, budgets, and resource allocation to executive team
  • Support ongoing manufacturing, assembly and installation of custom systems
  • Interface with customers and vendors as technical lead on mechanical systems
  • Perform hand calculations and FEA to develop, assess, and optimize designs
  • Design and review assemblies in SolidWorks. Solidworks PDM
  • Use and review outputs from CAE software tools for stress and thermal analyses

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
  • Experience working in a team environment

Preferred Skill and Experience:

  • MS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Light Management Experience
  • Experience building hardware or have a passion for contributing to a work product that operates in the real world
  • Strong ability to use data and analysis to make fast data-driven decisions
  • Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information
  • Researches and evaluates new technologies
