Mechanical Engineer

Griffin, GA

Key Responsibilities:

• Factory Floor Support:
• Actively engage with production teams to support engineering needs.
• Part Fit-Up & Assembly Support:
• Support part fit-up activities, ensuring proper alignment, tolerances, and assembly of components.
• Identify and resolve fit-up issues, escalating to engineering when necessary.
• Technical Assistance:
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
• Provide feedback to engineers on manufacturability and process improvements.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of shop activities, test results, and equipment usage.
• Assist in updating work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Report issues and suggest corrective actions to engineering and quality teams.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and production staff to resolve technical challenges.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience: 8 or more years related
• Degree requirement: Bachelor Degree in engineering or related field
