Job Description

Seeking a MEDICAL SCHEDULER to work in the SANTA ANA and BREA locations for $20 to $22hr.

Must have knowledge of Medical Terminology and have worked for a Doctors Office, Hospital or lab. Good customer service skills, bilingual Spanish is preferred.

  1. Answer phones and schedule patients for services, [1] collect demographic data on patient, [2] collect insurance data on patient, [3] set date and time with appropriate facility and confirm with patient, [4] discuss with patient what she or he is likely encounter during procedure.
  2. Secure preauthorization if needed from insurance company, also make sure all insurance and billing information is current and accurate.
  3. Follow-up with patient after procedure has been performed. Make sure radiology report will be delivered in a timely fashion and has the correct patient information on it. Forward immediately to referring physician.
  4. Perform general reception duties, e.g. answering the phone, greeting the public, taking and relaying messages, sending and receiving mail and packages, dealing with vendors and sales people, etc.
  5. Perform other general office tasks (including filing), and/or marketing and sales support duties as assigned.

You will be working different shifts. These hours are very flexible, can be for example 9am to

6pm, or 1pm to10pm, based on patient schedule.
