Network Security Engineer

Position Overview: Senior-level network security engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network security infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years managing enterprise firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Cisco FTD)
• Expert-level Cisco networking knowledge, particularly 9000 series Catalyst switches
• Advanced implementation of VPNs, ACLs, NAT, and Anyconnect solutions
• Proven experience with Cisco ISE for 802.1x deployments and TACACS/RADIUS
• Proficiency with Cisco Umbrella and FMC management
• Strong documentation skills for procedures and network architecture

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain multiple firewall platforms (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, FTD)
• Manage enterprise network security infrastructure
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
• Create detailed network documentation and diagrams
• Provide on-site support at data centers when required
• Implement and manage 802.1x network access control
• Configure and troubleshoot VPN solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Relevant security certifications (CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent)
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Willingness to perform on-site data center work
• Experience with enterprise switch configuration and management

Candidates MUST be local to Atlanta - this role requires a hybrid schedule. The role will begin 2 days a week on site and move to 1 day shortly after once the candidate is up and running. This is a 12 month contract + extensions.
