About the Opportunity
Serving the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO), the National Incident Response Team (NIRT) has an immediate opening for a remote Incident Response Manager reporting to the Vice President of the Investigations and Response team.
In this role you will lead of team of Incident Responders responsible for detecting and responding to cyber incidents across the Federal Reserve System and Treasury Bureau of Fiscal Service. You will collaborate with other leaders as a member of a management team supporting a 24/7 Detection and Response operations. You will be responsible for all managerial and administrative aspects of people leadership including hiring, development, performance, appraisals, and reviews.
What You Will Do:
- Provide team-level leadership and subject matter expertise in realm of cyber security detection and response according to OCISO security policies and objectives.
- Develop, a diverse team of individual contributors to create innovative tactics and techniques to enhance detection and support incident response for the benefit of Federal Reserve and Treasury customers.
- Work as a member of a cohesive management team to coordinate efforts, resources, and timing to ensure strategic mission objectives are met and NIRT, OCISO and System wide goals are achieved.
- Work cross-functionally to plan and execute at a larger team level to deliver mission objectives, business and system requirements, operational needs, and other criteria to ensure efficient operations.
- Utilize Scaled-Agile for the planning and execution of work and adjusting plans due to the changing security and operational landscape and unplanned work.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years leadership experience within cyber security incident response. Cloud, forensics, threat hunting and malware experience a plus.
- Functional knowledge of or experience with cyber security detection and response strategies and capabilities.
- Knowledge of agile and scaled-agile methodologies.
- Working knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, or System operations, procedures, and technologies.
- Demonstrated experience influencing successful outcomes in an enterprise environment. Gain support for ideas or accept a desired course of action.
- Experience shaping the direction of others and motivates through inspiring commitment and respect.
- May require extended work hours and requires on-call availability. Occasional travel including overnight stays may be necessary.

- The hiring range for Sr. Manager – Info Security is $157,000– $196,300 annually.
- For candidates outside Richmond, VA, listed hiring and salary ranges may be adjusted based on your geographic location.
- Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
