Position: Operations Liaison II
Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana (100% onsite)
Duration: Contract

THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE, 20 HOURS A WEEK.

Job Overview:

The Operations Liaison II supervises and co-supervises the daily activities of Engineering Assistants (EAs) in the design area. This role involves overseeing various operational tasks, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing technical assistance to address customer inquiries and design challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Approve timesheets, monitor vacation or other time off, and ensure adherence to union agreements/contracts (where applicable).
• Oversee EA production, overtime, and workload balancing in collaboration with the Planner/Scheduler.
• Provide technical assistance to customer questions or requests.
• Approve design jobs up to $50k, including revenue calculations, CIAC, taxes, drawing details, and Points and Spans in DIS/GDT/Maximo.
• Interpret line extension policy, tariff rules, NEC, and NESC codes as they apply to design jobs.
• Conduct post-construction audits to ensure designer accuracy and address frequent designer mistakes.
• Assist with complex design issues and resolve customer complaints.
• Provide training for EAs on basic surveying, field operations, DIS/GDT/Maximo, safety procedures, and construction standards.
• Perform office audits, driver observations, and other safety-related tasks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education: 2-4 year Technical Degree or equivalent Electrical Distribution work experience.
• Minimum experience: 10 years cumulative Electrical Distribution/Transmission/Substation experience OR 5 years Distribution Technical experience.
• Distribution Design experience: 2 years with DIS, GDT, or Maximo.
• Good working knowledge of Construction Specifications.

Pay Range: $50 - $52

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
