What You'll Be Doing:

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of multi-entity payroll. You’ll manage and maintain complex payroll systems, troubleshoot payroll discrepancies, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve payroll processes and ensure compliance. Operating with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, you’ll support Rinchem’s workforce by delivering precise payroll services while contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Scope and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Processing payroll for employees across multiple legal entities on a weekly and bi-weekly basis.
  • Ensuring accuracy and compliance of payroll data including tax setups, garnishments, and benefit deductions.
  • Maintaining and updating payroll systems with employee pay, tax, and benefits information.
  • Collaborating with the Global Payroll Manager and HR team to resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Generating payroll and compliance reports and analyzing data for discrepancies.
  • Supporting onboarding by setting up payroll records for new hires.
  • Managing off-cycle payments, terminations, and related journal entries.
  • Setting up new state/local tax codes in Dayforce and maintaining system compliance.
  • Serving as a point of escalation for payroll concerns and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Processing wage garnishments, tax liens, and wire transfers.
  • Participating in special payroll projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Processing weekly journal entries and other reconciliations with accounting department.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

We are seeking:

An experienced payroll professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment. You are detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and confident working with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll processing role required
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Experience with Dayforce and multi-state payroll systems highly preferred
  • Knowledge of wage, hour, and tax laws required
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred

  • Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including occasionally arriving early, staying late on a moment’s notice and occasional evening and weekend work.
