The Investment Performance Analyst (IPA) is responsible for the production and delivery of Natixis Investment Manager Solutions (NIMS) and Active Index Advisors (AIA) performance returns, working with our service provider, Vestmark, to ensure that necessary returns are calculated and distributed timely and accurately. The IPA will ensure adherence to GIPS Compliance standards for AIA, keeping up with new developments as they arise. As a member of the performance team, the IPA will represent NIMS Performance in new and existing business initiatives to support these opportunities, partnering closely with the Operations, Trading and Portfolio Management teams. This is a hybrid position located in either the Boston. MA or San Francisco, CA locations. The approximate hours are 5:30am PT to 2:30pm PT (east coast trading hours).

What you will do:

Ensure that NIMS and AIA performance output are produced in a timely and accurate fashion.

Confirm compliance with regulatory requirements related to performance and client reporting.

Adhere to GIPS Compliance standards for AIA, coordinating all efforts and partner with external consultants as needed.

Identify opportunities in the performance process to improve automation or increase efficiencies whenever possible.

Maintain and coordinate composite structure and definitions, collaborating with Vestmark to ensure compliance with requirements.

Calculate after-tax performance when required.

Play an active role in all systems upgrades, conversions or related events, providing methodical testing throughout.

Develop, maintain and document procedures.

Coordinate quarterly performance reports with Vestmark and their print mail vendor and electronic delivery of performance reports, with the client service team as needed.

Represent NIMS Performance for legal contract, due diligence, RFP, audit or compliance requests or reviews as needed.


What you will bring:

One to Two years of performance measurement experience, data management, information systems or investment operations preferred

Two-three years of relevant financial services/asset management operations experience

Experience with GIPS Compliance standards a plus

Demonstrated analytical skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to stay organized, highly productive, and deliver/complete multiple tasks within tight time frames

Strong technology skills (Intermediate Excel skills required)

Strong interpersonal skills including team building and relationship management (within all levels of the business, both internally and externally).

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, MIS, Accounting or related field. CIPM candidacy/designation a plus.

Prior experience with Separately Managed Accounts/UMAs, knowledge of portfolio accounting systems (Vestmark), business intelligence tools, and relational databases and experience with Factset and/or Bloomberg viewed favorably.

In accordance with the California salary transparency law, the expected annual salary for this San Francisco, CA, United States-based position is $55,000 - $95,000. Actual annual base salaries may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Natixis sponsored benefit programs.
